DIMENSIONS We over-complicate the natural state of nature by denying its true natural state! Infinity is a scary thing to think about but that does not mean we can ignore how much simpler everything becomes once we finally accept it. We build calculus on top of trigonometry on top of geometry and all the scientific laws and formulas that we believe govern everything we think we know about the natural state of our universe rests on these steadfast laurels. Geometry has a terrible burden to bear much like Atlas with the weight of all that there is on its shoulders. At the very core of all geometry are two very simple well understood constructs that we use to define everything else. That being the one dimensional line and the zero dimensional point. Lets start at the very beginning. Lets start with the Zeroth dimension and discuss what it means to be a 0D object. A zero dimensional object is called a point. It is has no length. But it also has no width or height. So without length, width, or height, it can not exist in time as anything other than a point in time. So a point is timeless, it is massless, it is energyless, weightless, lengthless , widthless, and heightless. But that does not mean they don't exist. If the point did not exist then nothing we see or touch could actually be seen or felt. It is the lack of relative scientific precision that lets us treat them as points. It becomes much easier in science and math to take things with a decimal point followed by 20 or 50 or 100 zeros first as if they mean zero. So let us build upon every one of those points that do not exist to see what it is that does exist. So lets now intersect our point with a line. You are now looking at a one dimensional object, a line. An infinite progression of timeless and massless points. This line is now a one dimensional object because it intersected a 0D object and we can see different points on this line where that 0D object could be. We can now place an objective relative measurement between any two points and can even watch or predict a points motion along this line. Which point was intersected by the line may or may not matter at all. Depends what the relation is between that point and that line. Now in order for that point to mean anything to that one dimensional line it must be able to move from where it is to somewhere else on that line. Where it moves does not matter but it has to move or it remains a zero dimensional object. It may exist in the first dimension but it is indistinguishable as a one dimensional object and not a zero dimensional object until it can be represented on at least two or more spots along that line. We will call a measurement on this line distance and the line itself we shall call length. So now lets intersect that line with another line. Lets call this line width. We have now created a plane and a measurement along this plane is called area. We are now looking at a two dimensional object. A measurement along this new line is also called distance. The line of width intersects the line of length to create the plane of area but its not really a single line we are talking about. Its an infinite number of lines sharing the same plane that we call a 2D object. But we don't care about this entire plane. We are normally only concerned with the relationship of this plane to the line it intersected and often the point itself on the line it intersected. So one way to visualize this plane is an infinite number of rays that emanate outwards from the point of intersection between the two lines. Now lets intersect our plane with another line. We intersect the plane of area with yet another line measured in units of distance and can call this line height. The measurement created by this new object we can call volume. This new extension we have added to a plane's existence now lets us see that our prior point of intersection of two lines in fact is also the point of intersection for an infinite number of planes all emanating outwards in all directions. How far outwards we care to measure is based on the object itself and what we are trying to place a relative comparison against. To be a true 3D object and not just a 2D object in a 3D world we need to see this 2D object on at least 2 or more points on this new line so there is an observable measurement. Where the movement does not exist or can not be measured we can treat the object as a 2D object. That allows formulas normally reserved for volumes to be visualized as areas. Now lets intersect that 3 dimensional volume of something with the next line of dimension. We will label this line the line of time and label a measurement on this line as span. A 3D object exists in the 4th dimension when we can see the span of time of two or more points in time and measure the span between them. We can label a measurement that includes a 3D object traversing this line as it's Life. We can measure the life of an object as its existence as a cohesive recognizable distinguishable presence of itself at any stage from inception to oblivion and could include the building blocks that make it up. Life then is over simplified to include both animate and inanimate objects if they take up three dimensions of physical space and MOVE from some point in time to some other point in time. This does not mean that inanimate objects are alive. Cells are a subset of 4D objects that are alive but both cells and inorganic compounds each evolve during their lifetime whether they are alive or not. I feel that the interpretations of the intersection of the line of time with the three spatial dimensions is where science and science fiction often times breaks apart. Following suit we can now see there exists an infinite number of different directions that 3D object might travel. The fact that every object may be presented with endless choices and our choices determine our progression along the line of time does not mean that all other choice not taken spawns an alternate timeline. One set of choices occur for you during your linear journey through time and the aggregate of everyone's choices shaped the past and shapes the future that the line of time will provide for our 3D universe. Every second that passes is one less second that will ever experience life ever again. Once passed there is no return and no matter how fast one travels you do not go backwards in time you just move through space time faster than you can be observed. So following this progression with time being the fourth dimension I say energy is part of the next dimension if we agree that the requirements I mention to be considered a dimension so far seem lucid then energy also exists as a line with no largest or smallest amount of energy that extends infinitely outwards and infinitely inwards. We call a measurement on this new line a charge but this line is a little different than other lines we have discussed so far because it can not exist alone. We can not separate this line from the line of mass because they are inextricably bound together. So we actually are intersecting our four dimensional universe with the plane of mass-energy. We are adding dimensions 5 and 6 where charge and its relation to density or speed correlate to electronvolts as a possible measurement along this line. We could also use lifeforce or lifeenergy but with too many connotations to corporeal life I prefer to use electronvolt. We already acknowledge a multitude of other names we have already given different units of measure in any of the lower dimensions. So this one may also have some interpretations. So an object exists as a 6D object when it can be measured spatially at at least two points in time and be shown to have measureable mass and energy at those points. That energy could be kinetic, potential, based on rest mass or inertial mass, quantum or classic. A measurement including the plane of mass-energy we can label as an object's existence. Without movement along the plane of mass-energy a 4D object is not distinguishable as a 6D object. But where mass or energy transform states we can have measurements to show life's existence. Each collective relative unit of spacetime, each 4D object has its now energy, its past energy, and its future energy. It has its potential and kinetic energy and many other types of energy. And if the object obliterated immediately as cohesive atoms back into separate atoms and molecules and compounds the amount of energy released by it's change of state would be state energy. One might also argue then that it makes sense that our six dimensions may be intersected also by the line of temperature and the line of luminosity. Both are measurable units and we see what an object looks like at different spots along those lines and can measure the change. And we can even observe the traversal along those dimensions. How the different dimensions interact are based on formulas , many of which we are already aware of but sometimes its just a fact that nobody every tried to gauge the interactions of meterseconds (different from meters per second) in their relation to mass-area kilogramsquaremeters (different from kilograms per square meters) to see some of the different ways these dimensions interact. When we treat things as forces instead of dimensions we can overlook insights that can help us truly understand the natural state of nature. We know things like velocity which is measured in the lower dimensions can impact perceptions of the higher dimensions and how they all interact together. So maybe electronvolts per cubic meterpoundseconds can be better visualized now that we have the computing power to produce these types of formulas and this measurement could be different then electron volts per meter pounds per second. Not every combination of units of measure or lines of dimension makes sense and some of the ones that don't immediately make sense could be because we have already reduced the math to a linear based equation in a lower dimension. As I go into spheres of influence we can better see how these dimensions really interact. As an example a 2D formula between time and mass alongside a 2D formula for time and energy when both visualized in a 4D model may help us see better how other variables might interact and where there is no motion or measureable movement we can reduce certain equations down to a lower dimension for that one calculation while keeping other calculations alongside them without breaking any rules. So something can exist in the 8th dimension but not have all 8 dimensions measurable. Once we can represent every object as its 8D self with spherical coordinate mapping emanating outwards from every object to see how the different things we once treated as direct lines can also be visualized and treated as an aggregation of intersecting vectors and tensors always in motion. What we have is the intersection of the line of time with each distinct frame of reference. Every object gets its own unique timeline as their distinct perception of the passage of time. Inanimate objects also have a timeline as does each planetary system and galaxy and our known universe as well. But I am not sure time is really the forth dimension. I think time is the first dimension. Then come three spatial dimensions. Energy is the fifth dimension and mass is the sixth dimension. Luminosity and heat round out the last three. People will argue that luminosity and heat are just manifestations of energy and that is very true. However that does not negate the ability to see a movement along the line of temperature alongside a movement along the line of energy and a measureable movement along the line of luminosity as well as space and time and mass. It is the measurements that make something a dimension and understanding that most basic of concepts can hopefully help put a better perspective on the natural state of nature for everyone. Accept that first and foremost as a self evident truth there can be no first second and build from there. I think the guides done in order can help visualize better what a truly infinite multiverse really looks like.
